In elastic fabrics, spandex has been the mainstream for a long time, but it also has problems such as not easy to dye, excess elasticity, complex manufacturing, unstable size, easy aging and so on. As a result, mechanical elastic fabrics without spandex are becoming popular, among which T400 and T800 are the most representative.
T400: memory type flexible player
T400 is made of pet and PTT polyester fibers by parallel composite spinning. After hydrothermal treatment, the two fibers shrink differently and form permanent spiral curls, so they have excellent elasticity. Even after repeated stretching for 500 times, the elastic recovery rate can still maintain more than 95%. Its monofilament cross-section is dog bone shaped, with grooves and hollow, so it is fluffier and softer than ordinary polyester,
and has better moisture absorption and perspiration; The groove structure is conducive to the attachment of Color Masterbatch particles, and the color fastness is better than that of spandex fabric. T400 also has outstanding memory function, which can maintain the shape after setting, and can be set again at low temperature. The fabric made of T400 is crisp and soft, and the body is not easy to deform.
T800: more flexible, softer and more people-friendly
T800 is made of PBT + PET composite and is an improved version based on T400. It has better elasticity, elasticity recovery is about 10% higher than T400, but the price of grey cloth is 4-5 yuan/meter lower, so it is more easily accepted by the market. T800 is made of 100% polyester short yarn, with fine surface and super cotton feeling, which is softer than T400; The fully matte matt surface conforms to the popular trend. Its double helix structure forms an octagonal groove section, which is hygroscopic and fast drying. Its fast-drying property is 8 times higher than that of cotton, and its hygroscopic property is twice as high as that of ordinary polyester. It can be boiled with ordinary dyes without carrier, and has high saturation and color fastness.
By contrast, T400 has accumulated in memory, color fastness and market; T800 wins in elasticity, price, handle and dyeing convenience. However, the overall dyeing of elastic fabrics is still more difficult than ordinary products. Ammonia free mechanical bomb overcomes many shortcomings of spandex, T400 has a stronger long-term trend than other fabrics, and T800 has enriched the elastic fabric market.
